Continuously enhance the level of openness to Germany and deepen the realm of cooperation. This event organized by Taicang Municipal People's Government and undertaken by Taicang Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone has been held in Germany for 16 consecutive years to publicize Taicang's business environment and deepen economic, trade and cultural exchanges with Germany for investors in German-speaking areas of Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium and Luxembourg. This year is also the first time that “Taicang Day” comes to Hamburg, the second largest city in Germany.
Nearly 200 guests from the Chinese Embassy in Germany, the Chinese Consulate General in Hamburg, the German Federal Commission for Economic Development and Foreign Trade, the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as the heads of many German enterprises, representatives of intentional projects, media and journalists attended the event.
In this year's “Taicang Day”, representatives of more than 100 well-known German enterprises, such as Wälzholz, Vespa, Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA), Beiersdorf, etc., came to the scene, and engaged in a warm dialogue and exchange with the delegation of Taicang and representatives of Chinese enterprises to jointly plan for new forms, modes and spaces of cooperation, and to open a new chapter of cooperation.
Taicang High-tech Zone and high-end test equipment, digestive enzymes, tightening technology testing and other 7 German industrial cooperation projects signed, Sino-German auto parts cross-border e-commerce project signed on the same day. It is worth mentioning that a number of Chinese and German enterprises signed contracts directly on the supercar R & D, new energy cooperation, automotive chassis systems and other projects, marking up the positive mutual approach for deepening cooperation, showing the deep integration of the two countries' industries and synergistic win-win situation and injecting new vitality into the development and advancement of Sino-German cooperation. In addition, Taicang Hi-tech Zone Innovation Center was also officially inaugurated in the event, promoting in-depth cooperation in the field of science and technology innovation to a new level.
